The Red Snapper
I finally bought myself a new camera. I've had my eye on this particular Kodak model for a while, and picked it up Friday. Pretty stoked about it. Snapped a few shots over the weekend, so I decided to post a few here. I'm still getting the feel of the camera, so a lot of them didn't turn out that well, but that'll come once I actually learn how to use it. Heheh. So please pardon the rustiness.
Saturday night I checked out Sleater-Kinney at the Phoenix. It was a solid rock n' roll show from start to finish.
Like I said, still getting the hang of this new piece. This shot doesn't quite capture the HOTT-ness that is Corin Tucker. Maybe it does, though...it looks like she's made of magma.
Sunday was the "Taste of Little Italy" festival in...er...Little Italy. I had a killer veal-on-a-bun and some deadly ice cream.
That night I got hungry again so I went to grab a burrito. I figured I'd stop by the Muchmusic Video Awards and snap some pics. This is Alexisonfire. The song they played was pretty good.
Everything else about that sucked and was boring, though. The teenagers started getting to me so I left.
Yeah, so this round of pics isn't that good, but there'll be more to come. I hope to finally update the "photography" section as well. But in the meantime, I'll post more shots of my summer exploits here on the blog in the coming months.
