Bachelor Life in the Big City

Although I am hesitant to admit it, I am a single yuppie with too much disposable income in the big city. I'm not the starving artist I once was; for the first time ever I have a salary and a somewhat stable living situation (I've become a lot of things I really don't dig, but I digress for now). Thus, I eat out a lot, as some of you loyal readers might have gathered in posts past. But to cut back on eccentric spending, most nights of the week I do actually cook for myself. Most of the time it goes horribly wrong, so I stick to the old faithfuls.

After 7+ years of cooking for myself, I still haven't mastered the omellete. It's such a fantastic idea on paper: your favourite ingredients wrapped in a light blanket of egg. Delicious, if you can execute properly. That I cannot do. Below is testament.

I guess this post should really be called "Fun With My New Camera pt. II". This was supper last night. It started out with good intentions: eggs, marble cheese, mushrooms, and green peppers. The end result:

So I did the only logical thing: drowned it in BBQ sauce.

Aesthetically, it was a disaster. Tastily, a success.

I guess the point here is that I'm officially on holidays. So no updates for almost two weeks. I figured I'd leave something here to fill that digital void. First legit holidays ever, so I'm totally stoked. I promise lots of stellar pictures upon my return.
