So I keep meaning to put up some pics from the 'Peg, but when I got a whole bunch transferred I decided the shots I did have wouldn't suffice. It looks like this is gonna be a pretty fun-filled weekend so I'll wait until after that.

Life in southern MB

PRO: There are awesome punk and Native hip-hop scenes in Winnipeg
CON: The Guess Who are from here, and are regarded as local legends
PRO: Neil Young is also kinda from here

PRO: Rent is awesomely cheap
CON: Bills are still bills

CON: Gas has been the same price for about the last month ($1.07/L)
PRO: I don't have a car (yet)
CON: You need a car to do any real exploring in the region
PRO: I can walk to work in 15 minutes

PRO: It's always sunny
CON: There aren't many lakes or hills
PRO: That's awesome for biking around
CON: I don't have a bike (yet)

PRO: When it comes to nightlife, cover charges are very minimal (if at all)
CON: Transit is sub-par; you gotta cab it most of the time

CON: It can get pretty windy
PRO: Smog is never a problem

PRO: It's the friendliest city I've ever lived in
